Transfer data to OTG drive and Battery issues on my Z3 Compact

Issue 1:-

It has been 2 months now I'm using my Z3 compact.

Off lately I purchased a 32gb otg pendrive.
It gets connected to my Z3 but I can only browse data from it but I cannot transfer music/photos/videos from Internal phone memory to the OTG. Slightly_frowning_Face

Is it not possible?? Or I am doing something wrong?

Issue 2:-

I have observed that battery life have degraded just within 2 months of purchase. It barely lasts for a day.

I have disabled most apps and just use whatsapp with limited call/sms. I dont use Stamina or ultra stamina or low battery mode.

I charge my Z3 only with its original charger. I disable roaming and mobile data at night.
I always keep my location tracking, apps update, wifi etc. etc.off.
No problems with network receptions...full bar/coverage.

So what could be the issue?

So whats the claim of Sony for 2 day battery life then???

Bootloader unlocked : Yes for those that are unlocked

Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes means can be unlocked

Bootloader unlock allowed : No means it is hard locked and can't be unlocked

For Issue 1

Are you using File Commander or other file manager apps? Google Android 4.4 KK doesn't support for rewrite on SD card and external pendrive. But it can be overcome by using File Commander ONLY ,to transfer those files.

Regarding issue 2, could you charge the phone full, use it as you normally do and when the battery level is low, go to Settings -> Power management -> Battery usage and take a screenshot? Also tap the items that has used most battery and take screenshots.

I tried a 3rd party tool and now I'm able to transfer my data to and fro...phone to otg.

I'm now to android so these queries.

Also I tried *#*#7378423#*#* hidden code as told by a friend &

browsed all the stuff inside and I found something which says:

Rooting Status:

Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

What does that mean??

Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

Means that you have a locked bootloader.Bootloader is like a sequence of commands when your phpne starts. If you have an unlocked bootloader, you can flash other custom ROMs.

However you will void your warranty if you unlock your bootloader

You may void your warranty - This depends on the nature of the fault like for example the USB port has nothing to do with an unlocked bootloader

Thanks mate.

But what status can be found on a xperia with unlocked bootloader??

Just curious to know and for some knowledge.

Is it something like

Rooting Status:

Bootloader unlock allowed: Unlocked

Ok I will try that.

But what if even thats not helping?? Shall I get my battery replaced or how?

Bad battery performance is usually caused by something running in the background using power. If you post the screenshots here we may perhaps be able to find the cause.

If it turns out to be some sort of issue with the phone or battery you can contact your local support team for assistance with having it fixed.
