wont charge/turn on. No flashing light Just a red one when holding down power button when charge

I have an Xperia T.

So this is the 3rd time my phone has done this, The previous 2 times I managed to tie a hair bobble around my phone which holds in the power button and charged it and it  worked. However now it isnt working at all.

Nothing happens when I press any buttons when it isnt plugged in.

When Plugged in and the power button is being held there is A red light. But it never flashes or blinks. As soon as released it goes off after a few seconds.

I have tried holding the volume up button with the power button and nothing happens, I have also tried holding the volume down button and still nothing.

I have been tried leaving it charged with a bobble around the power button for a whole night and still nothing.

I have tried charging it without the power button being held and still nothing.

Please please please help me as at the minute I am in the U.S and have no way of contacting any family other than using my friends laptop.

Yeah I can't believe how many times it's happened. I think Ive somehow managed to get it to work now. Its taken me 4 days.

I basically plugged it into my laptop with a hair bobble around the power button holding it in and left it there, it eventually turned on and the back off again, and i just left it while it repeatidyly did that for around an hour. Evenutally it stayed on and once it got to about 5% i plugged it in at the wall. It seems to be doing well so far. Just scared incase I jinx it.

Thank you for your help . Hopefully I've solved my own problem! I just need to make sure its always charged and never runs out of battery again! Slightly_smiling_Face

Connect your phone to a wall charger, press and hold the power and volume up keys for ten seconds, let it charge for two to three hours

That still doesn't do anything. Like I said in my first post, I tried pressing the volume combinations with the power button and it doesnt do anything at all. I have tried hooking it up to the laptop also, and still nothing 😕

I really hope theres a way of solving this problem without sending it off.

Sounds like you should contact Sony Xperia Support.

That seems like a hardware issue. Contact Sony Xperia support as I have suggested.

Hello, I have the same problem here, when I plug the Zperia no red lights light up, the only moment it does is if it is charging and im holding the power button (no blinking just red light continuously) and as soon i either press power + volume up or i stop pressing the power button the light goes away. Ive tried the above without luck...
