Why can't I open my messages??

Everyone I try to open a message, the entire message app closes on me saying "unfortunately messaging has stopped" why has this suddenly happened & how do I rectify please??

Open Settings then Apps and swipe to All then locate and open Messaging then tap on Force stop then Clear cache and clear data then reboot and test

Do you have any taskillers or antivirus apps on your phone?

Transfer data to SD card keeps coming up, but every time I tap it to do so, it just sends me back to my main screen & keeps coming back again later... Do you think this may have something to do with it?? As in the memory is so full that it can't open successfully. My Samsung used to do this with the gallery when its memory was full.

Anything is possible - You could try transferring items to your Pc then deleting from your phone to test this theory and if it works then problem solved but in my experience I would transfer items to an SD card via Pc then deleting from internal storage when you know it has transferred - Some members have reported issues with the built in transfer option
