I just found out that japanese version of Xperia Z and Z1 have infrared, so my question is why people in Europe and other countries can t have this version of phone? For me it is like discrimination, and SONY as a big company must have same standards for all!Is it possible to get that version of phones here in Europe?

See that black thing near camera on back side of phone that is infrared. You can search on internet xperia z so-02e and xperia z1 so-01f specs and see yourself.
Here is a image of infrared icon http://j-phone.ru/Tests/so02e/sc/6.jpg source: http://j-phone.ru/ru/reviews/sonyericsson/674-so02eblackreview.html
And that is not all, I read somewhere that japanese versions have better screen with full IPS!!!
You can use the phone as a remote for a TV for example.
You can use it as remote control for tv, air conditioner etc....
No,it is different technology...
