Xperia Z3 unlocked in Mexico?

Hi guys! I come to you since I couldn't find another way to ask this. I'm planning on buying an X3 LTE from the U.S. Sony Shop since it's cheaper than buying it in Mexico. What I need to know is: will it work on Mexican carriers? I hope someone from the support staff can help me out to clear that question. Thank you in advance

That would be IUSACELL (which recently has been acquired by AT&T actually).

It doesn't seems that iusacell has any 4G LTE coverage

I am aware of that. They told me that over the next months they'll enable 4G/LTE services, but I don't mind using it on 3G for now. Thank you, my friend! Slightly_smiling_Face By the way, where did you find the info on Iusacell? Tried to find it and failed.

Now I really hope I don't get the broken back glass problem a lot of people is having. I really like and want this phone!

Greetings! :smileysmileywink:

I just googled

"iusacell mexico frequencies"

As for 4G, make sure that your phone its compatible with their 4G bands.

As for the broken back, for the most part, people complaining here and the ones that post there pictures, you can see the point of impact, whether they dropped the phone or they hit the phone.

Anytime, are you aware that warranty will only apply here in the US and not Mexico?

I am, fortunately I live near the border and have family living there. I'd just hope I won't need it!

In the mexican Sony Online Shop, the phone is available unlocked, but after some customer reviews it seems that the unlocked phones where originally meant for Telcel (the biggest carrier in Mexico). Even though they are "unlocked", some customers say they still need to expect for software updates from Telcel instead of Sony directly, something that takes months after Sony's update release.

Unless I am wrong? It seemed weird to me since they are supposed to be unlocked. And I am not a patient person! If I get the Z3 I want Lollipop on it as soon as it comes out.
