Xperia z5 won't turn on, flashing red LED when plugged

My phone finished charging at like 8am when I woke up, and I put it next to me and went back to sleep. When I woke up again, I tried to unlock the phone and nothing happened so I plugged it in, and it only blinks red LED.

I've already tried power button + volume up/down combination, didn't do anything.

Anyone's got an idea what to do in this situation?

I can't answer for the specific support agent you spoke to, but I imagine that the reason would be to see if they are able to assist you in any way since they may not have any information about service routines in the US market. This is the same reason I can only refer you to the Local support for further assistance, I can not assist with local cases such as this. Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi @006fazer, sorry about your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

Have you tried to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion to see if that helps? I recommend that you try that first, let me know how it went!

Hi @Emir

Yes, but computer don't detect flashmode ...

I contact Sony Support, my model E6683 isn't under waranty for France 😞 This a HK model.

I there a possibility to repair that ? Or a A help from Sony to replace the phone ?

Did you make sure to turn off the device, and then held down the volume down button for the step where you connect your device to the computer?

It is correct that warranty is not Global, and if the Local support are unable to assist you with a repair in France then that is the case. Slightly_frowning_Face Warranty and servicing is valid in the market the device is sold and meant for, so in your  case it would be Hong Kong.

How can I do by my self to fix this? I'm so frustated now,

Someone suggest me to charging it for 3 hours, and i still doing this for now on.

So the xperia z5c led and screen was blinking showing the sony logo in a very short time when i connect to the wall charger, then i push the power+volume up and the blinking screen goes stop but the led change the blink 3 times over and over

What else can i do to fix this if i'm fail again??

Hi,

I have Z5 compact.

I was recording an interview on this phone yesterday, I checked to see if it was saved (which it was). 5 mins later my phone was dead (it had been fully charged an hour before). It now either flashes a red light every few seconds when plugged in, or sometimes it will quickly show logo and turn off.  It is dead when not plugged in and is not recognised by the laptop.

I have tried pressing in the white button for rest. No good. I have tried holding power button in with volume button, no good. I have taken sim and memory card out, no good.

I need access to the data on the internal memory, if I can save the phone that would be a bonus, but getting the data off is the most important thing.

Please advise.

Hi @RPB321, I am very sorry to hear about that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Have you had the chance to try and charge the device for at least 2 hours and then tried booting it up? In addition, could you please try different chargers, power sources and USB cables?

I am sorry to say that I do not have a way for you to access the data on the internal storage if the device does not start. However, it may be possible in your local market to extract the data or repair the device without a data loss. To get more information regarding your possibilities, I recommend that you get in touch with your Local support as they are well informed with your local service routines. Since I am based in Sweden, I am sorry to say that I can not provide market specific information. Slightly_frowning_Face
