Hi,
i have serious problems with audio quality during calls. The remote side always tells me that they cannot hear anything. After i mute/unmute the microphone the problem seems to be gone. I´m not sure if that problem was already there before the last SW update.
Current Version:
32.0.A.6.200
Baseband V: 8994-FAAAANAZQ-00029-19
Provider is T-Mobile.
Hopefully someone can help here, because that should be still one of the main functionalities of a smartphone (i guess ;)).
Furthermore i also have some troubles hearing the remote side, but i haven´t yet identified if it´s a problem of the remote side or the Z5 (most times when i have this issue, the remote side uses a Z3, so might still be a valid issue on Sony side).
Thanks and BR
This has been answered multiple times before, most probably there's an app or service that is taking control of the mic and won't release it upon receiving a call:
- Disable "OK Google" detection from any screen: Go to app drawer -> Google Settings -> Search & Now -> Voice -> "OK Google" detection -> From any screen -> Disable
- Try in safe mode and see if you face the same problem, if it doesn't happen there then a 3rd party app is causing it, common apps are Skype, Viper, and other voice chat apps.
Thanks for the fast reply. I was reading about similar things with the Z3. But wasn´t sure if this is also valid for the Z5. I´m gonna try your suggestions and come back with the result. Many thanks again!
