Z5 WI Fi hotspot configuration password not accepted by my tablet

My Samsung Tablet won't accept the password from my new Z5 during Wi Fi hotspot configuration process.

Tablet no problem with old phone used as hotspot.

Z5 no problem connecting to home WiFi.

That's rather odd, could you boot on safe mode and check, just in case there's a third party app causing this. what if you remove the password on your tablet's hotspot?

There is no password on the Tablet to match.

The Tablet won't accept/connect the Z5 configuration password, both devices connect with my home Wi Fi ok, Tablet could use pervious phone as hotspot ok.

They just can't seem to connect so I can use the phone as a hot spot.

Ok, I got it backwards, does your phone's hotspot has a password?

yes it has but I could not visual it, so I changed it so I could use one that I know. Still didn't work.

remove it and leave the hotspot open and report back

Everything is ok now.

The phone decided to present the "Show password" box, which was not there before.
