BDV-N7200W Dolby Digital Plus.

Can I just confirm that the BDV-N7200W doesn’t support Dolby Digital Plus over HDMI? (Even after software update). I find it strange that this system doesn’t with high speed HDMI cables connected to Netflix and Sky Q etc.

The HT specification report DD+ as supported:

Decoder: LPCM (2 / 5.1 / 7.1ch), Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus,
Dolby Porlogic, DTS, DTS 96/24, DTS ES(matrix 6.1/discrete6.1), DSD,
Dolby True HD, DTS HD HR, DTS HD, DTS HD LBR, DTS Neo 6

How do you feed the audio stream to the to BDV? An external device connected via HDMI or a TV via HDMIARC? Could it be the device that doesn't support it?

Hi rooobb.

I connect my Sony home cinema to my tv via arc with high speed HDMI cables.

In the instruction manual there is a dash (-) through the HDMI 1 and 2 where it says Dolby True HD and Dolby Digital.  That’s what makes me question it.

Yes you are right. Page 76 clearly states that those codec are supported only on bluray disks.
