Sony STRDN1080 AV receiver defaults to AMP+TV sound output. Anyway to default to just AMP?

I’ve been having a nightmare trying to set up the AV receiver so it always defaults to playing HDMI sound out via just the AMP instead of AMP+TV. I can do this manually of course through the AMP menu, but want to find a way of saving this setting so it’s selected when turning on the amp. Any suggestions? I am using an Optima projector is that makes any difference.

Hi Harry9966 ,

This depends on the connected device settings I believe.

Have you tried connecting ti to a TV and selecting the audio settings to be audio system only?
