Hi guys;
Has anyone had experience with getting help from Vaio e-support on line?
It's been a few days since I sent them a report for my laptop crash. Although they¿ve given me a case number, I cannot find their reply!!!
Every time I go to "Case Query" and type my case number, I get a message for "unknown case" !
I know that cannot be true because there is a case number and I can see the contents of my report in "Open Cases" but not their reply
I will be grateful for any advice you have regarding Vio e-support operation as I am still mourning over my dead laptop trying to get help from anywhere I can to avoid unnecessary repair costs!:smileycry:
Thanks
Sabi
PS: Rob Paxton; thanks for Sony service number. I called them many times but the line is constantly engaged
The best thing I can advise is keep trying!
Sabi
Is there nothing we can do to help you through your problem? Might save a bit of time waiting for a response from e-Suport.

Hi Sabi
Just found your original question (its here if anyone wants to catch up.
It sounds like you may have lost a dll file. This can often happen if you inadvertantly delete a file that is shared by other programs.
Have you tried installing your recovery disc?
I never managed to get registered for their e-Support, tried the email support address recommended by this forum and have never got a reply.
Ugh. I hate e-Support. I complained profusely on this forum because it insisted my email address was wrongg as well, and eventually they registered for me and sent me an email to let me know lol. Guess it gets you somewhere occasionally.
All I can do is apologise and suggest you check www.vaio-link.com and phone them, although it costs and they are often engaged. Still, they may refund the costs if you explain that you're only calling because their online support STILL won't work properly. And believe me, it's been like that for a long time.

No I mean e-Support has been not finding email addresses for a long time. I've never heard of them refunding the fee but it's amazing what you can get if you complain loudly lol.
