How to shut down the display

Hi !
How can you shut down temporarily the display of a VGN T2XP ? On many notebooks you generally use a function key like F1 for example. I could not find the answer in the VAIO help.
Thanks in advance and have a good day.

I dont understand what you mean by this. To switch between the LCD and an external monitor you use Fn and F7, or if you want to put the computer on standby its Fn and F12, hope that helps.

Thanks a lot,
FN7 and FN12 I know.
My question only refers to switching off the screen (the display) temporarily, all other activities being kept "normal", but nothing being displayed. On the Toshiba I used FNi (i = 1 or 4, I have to check) to stop displaying. Using FNi again resumed displaying.
Best regards

My Vaio K series doesnt have that feature! If its about power saving though, just use Fn and F5 to turn the brightness right down, without the backlight on, the display uses barely any power!

The only thing I can suggest is going into the power settings and setting it to turn off after 20 seconds or so
