low hard drive space

I've just bought a sony vaio B1VP and it's suppose to have 40GB hard drive but it is already saying that the c drive is running low. I thought it might be because i need to delete the recovery ulity as i have made a back up using 11 disks but i don't know how to do it. Any suggestions?:smileycry:

Ah so that's what your name refers to. I stand corrected.

i've checked the drives and it says that i only have just over 1gb left on my c drive and 13 on my other drive. I tried to look at how much all the programs take up but it doesn't add up at all. Any more suggestions?

You should first run the 'Create recovery CD program' and create a couple of recovery sets as a matter of urgency. If you do not do this and your computer has a problem you could find yourself without any recovery options.

Once you have done this you can then remove the program and reclaim the used space

Your manual should explain how to do all of this and copies of your manual are at http://www.vaio-link.com

Maybe you should change the location of My Documents to D:\My Documents\ too
