I have a Vaio PCG-V505BP on my desktop is a programe called system restore (Not to be confused with system recovery) the programe I am refering to allows you to go back to any prevous month that you choose (or it SHOULD do) my problem is one month has vanished altogther (May) and it will not let me go back to last year can anyone explain why. Can anyone also tell me why when I use system restore to go back to an earlier date or month the adobe reader (free version 7) files that I have in my documents will not open I have to downlaod adobe reader again before the files will open which means as I am using dial up takes nearly 2 hours is there a quicker way to get the files to open without having to download adobe reader everytime I use system restore. I have tried to get help from the adobe website but they would not help me because I am using the free version.
Hi
This is probably due to lack of hard disk space, so System Restore deletes periodically if there's a lack of disk space for it, and Windows to use
Yes I agree with Kee-Lo. You should delete the restore points sometimes, and then create a new one.
Dear Seb
How do I delete a restore point? and how can I get system restore to go back to last year?
To go back a year you'd need to use the buttons next to the name of the month until you can get back to where you want to be
