Xperia Tips doesn't give suggestions

Hi Community,

I've updated my X Compact to Android 7 before Christmas but, for now, I didn't receive any kind of suggestions from Xperia Tips; anyone know how?

Thanks!

Hello Alessio_84
Did you have done the update by OTA or PC Companion?

hi, the tips app will be triggered once you open or access certain features of the phone.

how about trying to turn off and on the xperia tips on settings>about phone

or clear xperia tips service , settings>apps>show sytem>xperia tips service>Clear data, restart your device.

I have updated with the official firmware through the PC Companion software, latest release.

On my previous Xperia Z2 the tips work perfectly with random suggestions displayed. Now on my X Compact I never have received one tips; it is very strange!

I try for a week the advices of @nolramlb and I'll be back to report the results

Every other answer is welcome.

Thanks!

Hi Community,

I'm back to report the situation.

Unfortunately the situation is the same also after cleaned the cache manually as suggested before. No tips are showed to me.

So, I think, at this point, that could be a bug of Android 7. There is a mounth that I have updated my X Compact to Android 7 but the Tips app has never functioned to me.

I wait your answers about or suggestions or guide to correct this situation.

Thanks to all.

If I be on your place, I will have to reinstall phone to previous android 6.0 ...just download trough xperifirm and flash it...6.0 is just better then buggy 7.0 ...much better option is 5.1 but this is not for X series but for Z5 series...just my idea of my possible choice :).

@MichalH94 I don't have experience with flashtool and xperifirm. In addition I have hear this procedure invalidate the warranty. Thanks however for your great answer and suggestion!

I think the warranty can be void only by rooting or unlocking bootloader, but not by flashing official stock rom... I can be wrong (but I dont think so)... You are welcome, another option is give feedback directly to Sony support and wait for them to fix it trough update...I have no other ideas roght now Slightly_smiling_Face .

And for your experience with xperifirm and flashtool- its nothing seriously, just read the manual from official websites and go for it, its easy if you have done some flashing in past...but that is on your mark, choice is up to you- flash or wait for update :).

@MichalH94 Thank you so much again for your answer and support, more than official Sony's employees. I wait too an anwers from they, Sony's employees, also to say me that it could be a bug of Android 7 that will be fixed in the next update. But however I would know what kind of problem is related to this app's malfunction. Best regards.
