Didn't think I would be back so fast, but I have another issue that suddenly started happening.
Checking to see if anyone else has this issue, or if there's a fix,or even if it's a known problem.
My auto-rotate stopped working. Was working fine the last 24 hours, give or take. Which is the duration of how long I've had the device.
I checked all the settings, and googled around, so I restarted my phone, now it works again.
Didn't know about the diagnostic tool until after I rebooted the device and it started working again.
If it stops working, I'll definitely run diagnostics.
But until then; known issue? Anyone else experience the same thing? A permanent fix?

@Voltagetweak11 Moved your question into a new thread.
Did you install a 3rd party launcher?

I do not have Z5 for now but I hope it won't come back. Keep us updated.
I have an Xperia Z5. (Owned this for a month)
Same issue. Auto-rotate stops working.
If I power off and then power on, then auto-rotate begins working again.
Sometimes it works for several days and sometimes it stays working for a few hours.
it's difficult to know what triggers it to stop working. It always fixes itself after I reboot the phone.
It's extremely annoying I am using the Xperia home face instead of the Google now Launcher. I don't know if that's part of the issue or not.
For what it's worth my previous phone was an iPhone 4 that I owned for four years and I never had this problem with that phone ever. I really like the Z5 but it's just this auto rotate problem that it's driving me crazy.
Hello!
Im sad to inform that the auto-rotate has stopped working again.
It's been 3 days since my last restart. (Actuall running time according to the phone; 3 days)
Diagnostics show that both Accelerometer and Gyroscope fail the test.
Only way to fix the problem is to restart the phone.
Running the diagnostics tests again show that the Accelerometer and Gyroscope work as intended after a restart.
Why it stoppes working after a few days, and only way to fix it is to restart the phone, I do not know.

I'm sorry to hear that.
When this happens, would it be possible for you to take a log file from the phone and send it to me?
To do this:
Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
Go back and select Developer options and turn on "USB debugging"
Restart your phone
The next time it happens:
Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report". When the report is ready share it to Google Drive and then send me a private message with a link.

My Z5 premium also doesn't auto rotate, what to do?
