Please note that I am on a Sony Z3
running Android 5.0.2 on my phone and never had an issue previously
I have a bluetooth device which used to be paired to my phone
However the device will no longer pair
When I try to connect the device
via the App for it, I get the following error
Couldn't pair with xxxx Because of an incorrect PIN or Passkey
The problem with this is THE DEVICE Does not have a method to input a passkey or pin
And it has NEVER asked for one in the past.
I have already tried restarting the phone
Uninstalling and installing the app for the device
and nothing works'
In fact to make things worse when I try to view the device via Bluetooth devices on the phone it does not show up on the list of devices
However If I use an iPHONE, I can see the device in the list of bluetooth devices
Which is suggesting that this is an ISSUE with the Bluetooth for the Sony Z3 on Android 5.0.2
Please advise ASAP as I how have a USELESS device thanks to the Sony z3
I still have my Sonny Xperia Z3,
Well, to solve all these issues, the best solution is iPhone.
Hi, not sure if you have solved this yet but I was just searching the same thing and didn't see a solution.
I went into settings>Media server>share media
then it recognised my sound bar in blu tooth
Hope this helps
I had this issue with my Xperia a1 my headphones unpaired and gave this message when trying to reconnect so I looked through the settings and noticed the ip6 connection for Internet sharing via bluetooth was on I turned this off and the problem went away
Not sure what is wrong;everything was working until my phone was reset.
mine was fixed when i let my system update download finish. you might simply need to simply do a system update.
Did you manage to sort this out, I have the same issue with my sony.
Keeps telling me my passkey in incorrect
Hi there
I have a Smartband Talk SWR30 and when I changed to a Xperia ZX1, I got this message. I was able to solve the issue by:
1. performing a Smartband 'factory data reset' (https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/swr30/userguide/resetting/#gref)
2. re-installing both Smart Connect and Smartband Talk apps (this step perhaps is not necessary - I did to start like fresh/new device).
It is working perfectly now
The Smartband is old, but I love it, so I will keep it as long as it continues running 😉
That's seriously your answer??!!
