Twice today I have had missed calls, the missed call icon appears in the notification tray but dones't clear when I list my call log. Pulling the notification tray down, I have a big blank notification that I can't clear. Slightly annoying
Yes!! It's a bug... Notification(missed Cal, mobile data off dialogue)stays there until we do a restart. I experienced this atlst twice a day.
can you check with your Phone/Dialer app if there are missed calls that have not been seen? try to boot to safe mode to eliminate the possibility that this caused by an app
Thanks!! I'm a dev basically and I'm aware of these safe modes,data or cache clearing things!! I always post an issue only after I come across all these things (including xc repair) _
so the problem isn't fixed by software repair using Xperia Companion? your last resort would be to send your device to your local service center. Local support, i know this might sound too extreme just for a software problem , but unless you can and know how to install / flash roms they might be able to sort it out
It's a bug itself came with Nougat!!it's nothing to do with local support team!! _flashing another region ftf was able to solve this issue.. But it's not the reliable way _ it can be resolved only from their (pr team) side.

as you said, you already have performed which for users is the last thing they could do,. if this is a bug, then it would take a long while to resolve since there are few users who are experiencing this. if you are unwilling to have it checked at your local service center, then there is nothing else you can do, but send your feedback here: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

As I said I came across all these things (both local and global support teams, call backs from them, mails bla bla) and I found this is the more reliable way to let them know or acknowledge about the issues which an end user is experiencing and get atlst proper reply from support team here instead of endingup " perform a software repair sir" which was being said in mails and call backs.
Hello everyone, apologizes for the late reply.
I would like to take a closer look at this and would appreciate if any of you experiencing this behaviour could provide me with some logs of this behaviour.
To do this:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number.
2. Go back and select Developer options then set Logger buffer size and change it to "4 MB"
3. Restart your phone, then replicate the behaviour.
4. Go back to Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report" followed by "Interactive bug report".
When the report is ready you will receive a notification. Tap the notification to share it. I suggest you upload it to Google Drive and then choose to share a public link to the upload and include the link in the PM.

Same problem here, quite annoying, at least once a day I have to restart the phone.
I followed the steps described before, now I wait for the problem to reoccur, in order to send the logs.
