Hi there,
yesterday while using my Z1C as navigation my display (google maps) was swiped all the time on its own.
When I tried to get into homescreen it wont react, because at the height of the power button the touchscreen was always in movement.
Just when I was fast enough it jumped into homescreen, but then immediatly was activating every button on these height.
At home I was able to do a backup and put the firmware using PCcompanion again on the phone. After that I was able to come to the diagnose-tool for touchscreen and it was "cleaning" the testscreen by itself in one vertical height of the touchscreen.
Does anyone know this problem?
Thanks in advanced.
p.s. I have bought the phone in novembre last year, latest updates were installed.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Received my xperia six days After sending it to xperia care.
its repaired and full functional.they changed LCD and some other parts.
very good and fast Service!!!
Was or is your phone in a case or does it have a screen protector on it and was the screen dirty - Also sometimes I also have this but holding power button and volume up to switch off the device then re-starting it fixes the issue
I had a protection foil on it, but even after removing it it is the same problem.
Looks like a failure in one of the touchscreen-sensors (horizontal row).
Remove the protective film then
settings > about phone > diagnostics > test > test the touchscreen.
The protection foil is already off.
I also tried with USB mouse, but it is the same problem, because the touchscreen is always reacting and so i am not able to use it proper.
But i made it to the diagnose tool (really not simple, the touchscreen is always working against me).
I made a video of it, looks like the row on top and second from top is having problems.
So I made an guarantee repair order at xperia care.
