Water Resistance Problem

I just bought my Sony Xperia Z3 yesterday. When I bought it I have checked my Phone under water but after that day when I again took my phone under water it was working properly but after some timea my phone's display started to flash I quickly turned off my and cleaned it properly. When I was cleaning i noticed that phone's lan yarf and camera shutter button was filed with water.I cleaned it properly. When I turn on my phone the display was blank. There was nothing but black display. But under the display my phone was working.I gave my phone to service centre.
I want to know that why this problem happened. Is it a manufacturing defect or other something?

At the service center they may perform a vacuum test to identify if it's a manufacturing problem or not.

If it is a manufacturing fault, what will they do

If it's a manufacturing fault, this will be covered by warranty, or as the distributor's policy on it. Some will replace or refund the unit, others will fix it. All depends on the local market rules, so contact Local support and see how it will go.

Do I have to pay the bill for parts

If your device was been water damaged because of a manufacturing defect then it will most likely be replaced for free.

If the seals weren't closed properly you will need to pay for a whole new device.
