I was listening to music and then after a while I realized the music wasn't coming from my earphones anymore but from the phone's speakers, even when the earphones were plugged in. I tried plugging them in again several times, still won't work. Is it a software update issue, or a hardware issue? My earphones work fine on my laptop, so i don't think it's an issue with my earphones.

I've just had this problem.
I uninstalled all the updates for the music player; I then did the same for the smart connect app.
I went into the smart connect app; I then created events for my headphones(Music on the go + music at home).
The app after a minute eventually worked and it played through my headphones again. Finally, I reinstalled the updates again, it now seems to work fine!
Hope this helps other people as well.

my problem is a bit differnet....the jack detects the headphones but the volume is very low and in calls i can hear nothing
Is there a way of software force the device to use audio jack channel instead of speakers?

Amazing, this worked a treat for me. I selected Headphone with Mic despite there being no mic on my headphones and music now comes through the headphones again.

Even works when I uninstall Soundabout, so no need to pay for the app!
Must be a software bug.
